AFTER THE BUSHFIRES
(Dandenong, Australia)

The work explores the idea of a wind driven bush fire. The tree branches and trunks are ashen and flaky. The atmosphere is filled with tiny seed pods moving horizontally across the picture plane - the heat of the conflagration creating the potential for new germination and hence regrowth of the vegetation.
